Menopause Diet TherapyTry and avoid all the foods that stress the ovaries and the body centers that support and process hormones. Avoid completely:
These directly suppress hormone production. The action of all stimulants, including stress, reduces ovarian function. In addition, foods rich in hard fats will interfere with the liver's ability to supply the ovaries with the raw materials necessary to produce hormones. Stay away from:

Menopause Pituitary Compensation TreatmentSince the pituitary gland is overactive to compensate for the lack of estrogen and progesterone, the rationale of treatment is to correct the deficient ovaries so the pituitary can return to normal. Some products are available only to a naturally-oriented physician and need to be prescribed. When I treat my patients I will muscle test them to see what they need.

FAQ
A. To share possibilities. Not all Doctors are aware of these treatments, and this is a way that they could be exposed to them through their patients. Plus who better to research possibilities than the ones who are experiencing the symptoms! Q. Why is it so important to have my Doctor approve and monitor me with these treatments? A. Because everyone is different. For example some people are taking supplements and medications already that could be adversely affected by anything new. Under the care of your health practitioner you will have someone to answer any questions that you may have. They can also change or alter your therapies as you change and progress. Q. I am already taking some of these supplements. If I just take more of them would that work? A. Taking more of anything does not necessarily make it work better! In fact it could make everything worse! Another reason to be monitored by your health practitioner. Q. I showed my Doctor this site and he does not want to try any of your recommendations.A. You need to look at why he or she is saying that. It could be for a good reason. You also could get other opinions from other Doctors. Q. I don't drink alcohol. Do the non-alcoholic beers offer the hops effect that you talk about?A: There are many other options in this list besides hops that you can pursue through your Doctor. By no means will everything on this list be right for anyone. There is more hops in darker beers, and if there are non alcoholic varieties available, you could experiment. Please use caution and discuss it with your health care professional first! And remember more is not always better! Q. I'm not old enough to be going through menopause. But I have some of the symptoms sets. Should I still ask my Doctor to look into these therapies? A. Absolutely! There are many reasons why our hormones may need support. These very same treatments could still work for you.

Q. I'm only 25, and my Doctor says that I am going through menopause. Is this possible? A. Yes. There are many reasons that you can go through menopause early. Certain medications can cause this, or if you have had your ovaries or uterus removed. If you are unsure if the diagnosis is accurate, get more opinions from other health care practitioners! Q. I've heard that soy is good for female hormones. Can I just eat soy, instead of taking the soy isoflavones? A. Dr. Ealsey does not recommend eating soy because it is being hybridized and it is very hard to digest. The Soy Isoflavones offer very good benefits because it is an extract of soy without the protein molecule, and it is easy to assimilate.Q. Can I take a supplement that has several of the herbs that you have listed and some that you haven't? A. Again you need to consult your health care practitioner about the specific supplement that you are interested in. Dr. Easley says that it is generally okay to take a broad spectrum (one that has a variety of general things) type of supplement in the beginning of treatment. And then as the patient improves, it is usually better to switch to specific things that the body needs to move to the next level of health. Here's some cultural exclamations...

Menopause Liver Estriol Compensation TreatmentEstriol is one of the three primary estrogens. The highest levels of estriol occur during pregnancy when it is being made by the placenta. The liver also has the ability to convert circulating stress and androgens into estriol. When estrogens are deficient, the liver can produce even more estriol. Estriol is a hormone that is responsible for producing structural tissue upon which functional cells can live. It creates structural fiber. To treat this condition requires normalizing the estrogen production as described above for liver compensations and then treating the liver itself.

Just Remember Nuliv=NuYou. Whenever Norm gets grumpy even the kids know well enough now to tell him to take some Nuliv! I have affectionately changed the name in our household to NuNorm. Whenever I get irritable everyone reminds me to take EstraLiv. But that's a whole 'nother story!

Menopause Adrenal Cortex Compensation TreatmentThe adrenal cortex can increase its production of testosterone, estrogen, or pregnenelone to make up for a deficient production of hormones by the ovaries. As is the case with all menopausal conditions, it is essential to first try and normalize the ovaries. As the ovaries improve, or as the hormones are increased with replacement therapy, the adrenal cortex compensation will begin to decline. As it does there are additional treatments which can be included to assist in the elimination of the 'heavier' hormones produced by the adrenal cortex compensation.

You may have noticed that sometimes Dr. Easley has more than one choice of the same product. He uses Applied Kinesiology (muscle testing) to find out which type of a certain product a patient needs. He doesn't do it with every supplement though. So my recommendation is to find an alternative health practitioner that can accurately muscle test you when there is more than one choice.

Snow: Hello! Welcome to today's Chit Chat Webview! We've got a great show today, we will be interviewing Menopause herself. She's a power to be reckoned with and I am very excited! So Menopause, welcome! I am so happy that you took the time to be here today. Menopause: The time has come Snow. You know, I am a little hot right now, you'd better stand back or else you might melt! Ha! Snow: Oh, you've got a great sense of humor Pause. Can I call you Pause? Menopause: (pause) Sure thing! Snow: Pause, do you consider yourself a rite of passage? Menopause: By all means. I am the doorway into the next phase of life for a woman. Getting there usually involves some trials. Snow: What is the prize on the other side? Menopause: There are prizes all along the way. When I give the pushes and the shoves a lot of goodies are uncovered. Snow: Sounds interesting. Do you know where you will take a woman beforehand, or is it a journey for you too? Menopause: We journey together. With free will, life is always full of surprises. Snow: What do you think of Dr. Easley's treatments? Menopause: I think they're great! When taken at the right place in the right amount, they can take a lot of trial out of the changes, and make our trip more fun. Snow: Do you ever get tired of being feared and loathed? Menopause: Hey, not everyone feels that way! After all I take away the highly loathed period! Snow: Speaking of that, knowing what you know now, would you rather be Menarche (the onset of the menstrual period) or would you keep your job as Menopause? Menopause: Menopause hands down! I usually get women that are in the prime time of their life. They are seasoned with experiences in love and life. And they have this wonderful perspective that is so fun to be a part of! When we journey together it is sometimes scary and emotional, but I can feel the fiber of their strength and it gives me strength. I wouldn't trade it for the world. Snow: So is there anything that you would like to say to our readers today about what happens after you're done with them? |

Menopause Thyroid Inefficiency TreatmentI have learned from clinical experience that more than half of the women who enter menopause develop some form of thyroid problem. A thyroid disorder can begin around menopause because of the pituitary's dominant interest in assisting the ovaries. They can also develop because substitute estrogens that are produced by a compensation gland can interfere with the thyroid hormone transport protein (thyroid binding globulin-TBG). This can also happen from liver stress of managing poor quality estrogens which in turn reduces the production of TBG. When these factors result in a thyroid inefficiency, the quality of thyroid hormone being produced is not 100% effective. To remedy this situation, the thyroid will receive periodic boosts from the pituitary increasing thyroid hormone levels and causing the characteristic "wired and tired" sensations. This period of over activity causes multiple thoughts, being easily bored, a distaste for small talk, and multiple subject changes in conversations. This will then be followed by a down-time causing fatigue, unassociated depression, and sluggish thoughts. This cycle can occur several times in a day, or, the highs and lows can be drawn out over several days. Treatment involves improving the quality of thyroid function while the ovaries are being treated.

Menopause: Well it's not my department, but I can tell you what these ladies are like when they begin that phase. In a word- independent. Don't let it fool you in its simplicity. Independence encompasses a lot of things. They are free from the bounds of reproduction, and all of the restrictions and responsibility that that entails. They are usually in a place where they have less direct responsibility for their "babies", be that human or otherwise. So they can focus inward and listen. Then they can focus outward and contribute in a broader way to the collective. And they do it all with their beautiful, strong, grounded independence. What a vision! Snow: That works for me. In the mean time do you have any words of wisdom for the ladies stuck in the trenches with you? Menopause: Be here now. Listen to your body, follow it's clues, and promptings. Don't be afraid to ask for help. I am your friend. Don't forget. Go natural as much as you can, its more conducive to the rhythm of nature. Love yourself, the good, bad and otherwise. Snow: Love. It all seems to come down to love. Menopause: Love and you and me and yes. Say yes to life. Snow: Yes Pause I think I get it. Menopause: You always-snow Snow! he he! Snow: Well that's all we have time for today! Thank you very much Menopause. You are very sage. I'll see you an few years or so. Menopause: It'll be fun, don't you worry.

Menopause Thyroid Deficiency (Hypothyroid) TreatmentThyroid problems can begin around menopause because of the pituitary's dominant interest in assisting the ovaries. They can also develop because substitute estrogens being produced by a compensation can interfere with the transport protein (thyroid binding globulin-TBG). This can also happen from liver stress from managing poor estrogens and in turn preventing the production of TBG. When these factors result in a thyroid deficiency, thyroid hormone levels drop below normal. To remedy this situation, the pituitary will attempt to increase thyroid hormone levels with TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone). Hypothyroid symptoms include fatigue, unattached depression, and sluggish thoughts. Treatment involves improving the quality of thyroid function while the ovaries are being treated.

Case Histories For Hot FlashesThere is also another point which is important to mention. The treatment of hot flashes can be very frustrating. It is very common that a completely unrelated condition can cause them. I treated a patient who was suffering from severe hot flashes that occurred during the day as well as all night. On the initial evaluation, the results were pretty consistent for normalizing the hormones. She experienced absolutely no difference within two weeks. Upon the second evaluation, I isolated a deficient heart condition which caused a persistent state of dehydration. Within a few days of following this treatment her hot flashes were completely gone! Another case had the same initial results but when her pancreatic hypoglycemia was treated, her hot flashes stopped. Another cause for poor response to ovary treatments is the liver. If the liver is unable to process the hormones that are in the process of being discarded, the body will not allow any new ones to come in. Finally, if the liver is unable to build the transport substance or is unable to move raw materials to the ovary, the hot flashes will not improve. So don't be discouraged. Your body wants to be healed and it knows how to do it. We just have to interpret what it is trying to tell us. If your results are inadequate for the treatments being followed and the time allowed, move on to a section of this website that describes what might be the true cause of your disorder. |
Before you nail down the cause and figure out those pesky hot flashes, here is a thought about having them. Remember the hotter you get the hotter you get.

Final NotesIt is important to remember two factors when taking supplements designed to assist in alleviating menopausal symptoms. First, as the symptoms begin to improve, it will be because the hormone levels will be gradually increasing. As they do, the liver, which is responsible for processing them for elimination after they have done their work, can become overloaded. This can cause bloating, water retention, indigestion or even heartburn, evening headaches, and water weight gain by the evening. In these cases, you will want to include EstraLiv (pchoiceline.com) in your program and reduce the ovary support by half until the liver gets caught up. Once better, you can return to the dosage that is working for you. Second, every cell in the body has an estrogen receptor site. It is sort of like a docking station where the estrogen hooks up, does its thing and then is instructed to leave. With compensation hormones, the cell often does not have the correct instruction code and the hormone continues to hang around. As long as this is happening, a new hormone cannot exert its effect. In this case, most of the treatments as well as prescription hormones will not work as well as they should. There will be hormone deficiency symptoms as well as hormone excess. To remedy this requires a homeopathic (Estradiol 30x or Estrogen 30x |
